Our Story revolves around our passion for tea and our corevalues: women empowerment, respect for the environment, traceability and sheer quality.
Committed to women empowerment, the Studio is ‘manned’ by a small team of 8 women, all belonging to the tribal village within walking distance of the factory. In our unique artisanal factory these dedicated ladies craft the teas which we take pride in offering to the consumer.
The very fine leaf without which our stand-alone teas would not be possible, harvested from their tiny farms by the family members of our ladies, reaches the factory in pristine condition. The efforts of the families to harvest the quality of leaf we demand is rewarded by them earning more than 10 times what they would get from selling their leaf elsewhere.
Our respect for the environment is reiterated by the Studio being powered by solar power with all heating being provided by clean non-polluting LPG.
We are proud of the fact that the leaf our ladies craft ends up as teas which WE like to drink.
We are certain that you would enjoy our teas as much as we do.
An all Women Workforce
Committed to women empowerment, our tiny workforce of 8, headed by Muskan, are a dedicated team of young, women from the neighbouring village who now are the ‘backbone’ of the Studio. In a region where most women remain uneducated and have very little opportunity, taking immense pride in their work, our women have developed skills and artisanal
sensitivity which set them apart.
Before they started working at the Studio, these young women had very little on the horizon other than marriage for dowry and no higher educational prospects, nor any opportunity to have an adult life of their own. Now having become the primary bread-earners of their respective families, they hold their heads high, being treated with a new-found respect within their family circle.

Benefits of Green Tea
Green tea, rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), is a powerful antioxidant having proven benefits not just for the brain and heart but also overall well-being. Research suggests EGCG may help treat or prevent chronic diseases by reducing oxidative
stress, thereby promoting relaxation.
Benefits of Black Tea
Black tea contains antioxidants (theaflavins and thearubigins) which offer similar health benefits to the catechins in green tea. It having been proven that the polyphenols in tea support health with research suggesting that these compounds may help protect against conditions such as dementia, cancer, and infections.
It is also a fact that Whole Leaf black teas, such as those produced in the Studio, have a higher level of antioxidants than CTC teas, the latter being the outcome of a very harsh treatment of the leaf during manufacture.
Which is the Healthier Tea?
The tea to drink is the one you personally enjoy.
All teas contain polyphenols (antioxidants), levels of which, being dependant on various factors, may vary. Polyphenols in White and Green Tea are the catechins, while in Black Tea it is theaflavins. Whether White, Green, Oolong or Black, just drink the tea you enjoy, keeping it in the back of your mind that whichever be the tea you are drinking, it is working silently behind the scenes, looking after your health.
